SSIN Sponsored Circuit Day

Posted on: November 22, 2018

Children at South Stanley Infant & Nursery School recently took part in a Sponsored Circuit Day to raise money to improve their outdoor play areas.

Activities across the day we fun and interactive so that everyone, irrespective of ability, was able to join in and enjoy themselves.  They even linked in with their Literacy learning in the form of an acrostic poem:

Speed football

Swinging skipping

Intense hockey

Never stop laughing netball

Mrs Louise Thompson, SSIN Headteacher said;

“The SSIN Sponsored Circuit Day has been a great event for everyone.  The children have tried new activities, developed new skills and grown in confidence.  It has been fantastic to see those who may not always engage in sport have a go and join in.  Today wasn’t just about sport, it was about teamwork, coming together with a shared focus but more importantly about having fun.  We’ve certainly done that.

Special thanks must go to our families who have kindly sponsored children to take part.  As always these events are as successful as they are due to our family support – we can’t do it without them.”

All money raised at the SSIN Sponsored Circuit Day will be reinvested into the outdoor play areas for the children.
