SLP Superstars Showcase – the final line up

Posted on: January 21, 2019

Auditions for our partnership wide talent search; SLP Superstars Showcase took place last week as children battled it out for their place in the live show.

Children from across all SLP schools showcased their talents to a number of judges last week in our closed auditions.  Singers, dancers, ventriloquists and magicians were amongst the auditionees, each one of them really doing themselves and their school proud.

With each school hosting their own auditions; judges which included teachers, TA and Governors from across the partnership, had a tough job selecting their final acts.  After  a lot of deliberation they eventually managed to make their selections.

Our final line up of 26 acts will go on to star in the SLP Superstars Showcase that takes place at the Civic Hall, Stanley on Friday 8th March.

Mr Mark Stewart, Stanley Learning Partnership CEO said;

“As always, our children never cease to amaze us and their auditions have been simply outstanding.  From our youngest members of the partnership at SSIN to our Y6 pupils, they have all shone.  It is clear to see the hard work they have already put into their act as they oozed confidence and talent.

The SLP Superstar Showcase has been a unique opportunity for our children.  Not only is it giving them a platform to shine outside of the classroom but it will enable our children and staff work collaboratively across the partnership; a core value of SLP.

Our thanks must go to Stanley Town Council for their invaluable support with this project as without it we would not be able to give our children such a fantastic opportunity.  To perform at the Civic Hall, Stanley will be a dream come true for our children.

We are all very excited about the SLP Superstar Showcase and can’t wait to show the world the many talents of Stanley Learning Partnership’s children.”

All of the children that auditioned will go on to star in a local school show that will celebrate everyone’s talents.

More information to follow as how to obtain tickets for both the local school show and the live show.
