Keeping it local with our new Superstars Showcase 2020 sponsor

Posted on: March 6, 2020

Stanley Learning Partnership is delighted to announce a new sponsorship with Rustica, a local Italian restaurant with a family friendly focus.

The sponsorship will see Rustica partner the SLP Superstars Showcase 2020, a variety show starring children form all four SLP schools.  The show, which is part of a three month partnership wide initiative, will see children perform at the Civic Hall, Stanley, giving them an opportunity to shine outside of the classroom.

Nicholas Angus, Rustica restaurant manager said, “We are delighted to be working with Stanley Learning Partnership. This is a unique initiative that gives the children of our community the chance to create something brilliant.

As a restaurant new to Stanley, our main focus is families and bringing them together in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere and the SLP Superstars Showcase is exactly that.  Being able to work together for the good of the local community is a natural step for both ourselves and SLP.”

Mark Stewart, CEO at Stanley Learning Partnership said, “To have Rustica on board is fantastic for the initiative.  Without their support we would never be able to put on the show we have planned.

The children have worked so hard in creating and mastering their performances that we know the evening will be a success for everyone.”

Rustica Italian Restaurant is now open, located at Joicey Square, Stanfield House, Joicey Square, Stanley DH9 0PG (just off the old library roundabout).

The SLP Supertsras Showcase 2020 takes place at Stanley Civic Hall on Friday 13th March.  For tickets visit https://www.civichallstanleytickets.co.uk/now_showing.asp
